The blower quit working on my coleman model 3400-6901 electric furnace. Could this be the run capacitor or the motor? When its time for it to come on it makes a real loud whining noise and it acts like it wants to start but never does. The blower will turn a little bit when it first comes on, then nothing just whining. Any help will be appreciatted greatly. Its very cold!!!

Carefully reach in and give the wheel a spin.


See if it takes off then with a call for heat from t-stat.

It doesn't work when I spin it around It still whines real loud. So I guess it is the motor.

Take it out and clean motor and wheel and oil motor if applicable and see if that helps any.

If not, then may be the motor.
