Went down to the lake cabin this morning and everything was cold. been below 0 for a week. Propane level at 40% . cleaned snow off the regulator. Gas Range works fine. when tstat calls for heat the furnace gas valve solenoid cliks but nothing more. you can here a small blower motor running but that is all and after a time that also stops. There is an indicator light on the right side of the control box behind the filter body that glows green when it first calls for heat and then after a time it blinks on and off which indicates ignition failure. quite a l ittle snow on the roof could that be the problem? is it possible to check the igniter itself? other ideas?

Takk for det

Hi,

Clean the snow and ice off the roof away from the roof-jack, be sure it is open and clear.

IF that does not resolve it, see if you can see the ignitor glowing when you hear gas valve solenoid clicking.

IF so, but no burner flame, check the burner and burner orifice for any blockage from debris, spiders, webs or eggs.

IF ignitor is not glowing, test at ignitor plug to see if it ever receives 120vac during the call for heat.

Thanks,
Robert
