I have a propane Duo Therm model #717060-001 furnance with an A coil in the bottom. I want to clean the A coil. The A coil is located behind a metal plate which is secured by screws. Through the plate is a hole with two copper pipes and one rubber hose. The copper pipes are threaded. The pipes and the hose must be disconnected to remove the A coil and this is a pretty straight-foward proceedure? Is this correct?
Hi,
Go here to see how to clean the a-coil:

Removing is the best, but not advised for homeowner DIY. You have to have an epa refrigerant certification, remove and recover the refrigerant, then remove coil, clean, get new quick connects, reinstall, pull a vacuum, leak test and recharge.
Thanks,
Robert
