We bought a used MH to renovate. It is not sitting on a slab yet but will be moved after complete renovation has been done. My husband wants to have it leveled where it is and then renovate it and then move it to the slab (to be put in next spring), then have it leveled again in its permanent spot.
Is it necessary to level it now? He says if it is not all level and square now it will affect the renovation.
We had a estimate done for leveling and they are asking $750. That seemed kind of high, we already bought all the block and shims.
Thanks
Leveling before or after reno and move

You definitely need to level before you renovate. If it is not level when you do the renovation everything you install could be damaged when it is leveled after the move. Crooked cabinets on a straight wall will not look good.
Make sure you renovate with the move in mind. There will be plenty of flexing of the home during the move and damage to things such as finished drywall will occur.
Leveling is relatively simple and if you are up to a renovation a re-level is a good place to start. If you are moving it anyway you can take off all the skirting now and make the job much easier. Buy or make a water level and have at it.
