removing furnace

I"m replacing the floor in my single wide. The floor under the furnace is bad. I will be taking the furnace out I have no problem with the gas and electric. But how do I get the chimney ( roof jack)off the top of the furnace. Does this have to be pulled back up through the roof.

Hi Gary,

Is the roof-jack one piece or is it an extendable type ?

Hopefully it's extendable so you can remove the screws at furnace top and loosen the extension and slide it up.

Be sure to seal good when reinstalling the furnace and if gasket is in subpar condition, replace it.
