Does sheetrock/drywall have to be hung horizontally or can it be done vertically. Everything we removed was done vertically, and with ceilings that are 90 inches tall, we thought it might be easier to do vertically.

Any opinions?

You can hang it vertically and it will be wasier to finish because you won't have any butt joints to feather out. Horizontal hanging has a couple benefits like a little more strength since the sheets are attached to 7 studs instead of 4 and will help if the studs are uneven or wavy. But nothing wrong with vertical. Then just have the one joint to finish and it has the factory recess so it's easier to feather out and look better.

Thanks. Since we are only doing a small area, I think we will try hanging it vertically.
