Guys

How do you remove the sliding glass door?

I've removed the top holders and tried to lift up and in (like a santard slide door)but I'm getting caught on the inner lower lip.

Am I going to have to remove the stationary glass and try and lift the slide up and out?

Can you post a picture or two so we can what you are up against?

Are you replacing or repairing?

Those screws on the outside is what holds the door in place. You may have a couple more screws around the strike area. Sometimes people will add screws to the jambs, but it is really unnecessary. The threshold should just have a groove that a lip on the door jamb is set into.

Ok

So In order to remove only the sliding door I have to remove the entire lower frame ?

I stripped out my adjustment screw

But even if I turn it it's not lowering the roller

ok

figured it out

pretty simple

you loose the brackets holding the stationary porition first

once that is removed you lift and pull toward the outside the sliding portion

i pulled my roller. maxed it out. greased them both up

reinstalled everything

works like a dream now

i'm guessing a replacement sliding screen door wouldn't be available at the regular box store

probably only at the mobile home parts house

I would measure it up and make a few phone calls, you never know.
