Tyvek flammable or insulation

I hope that this is ok. This weekend I just finished re-insulating my my underneath of my home. I got unfaced insulation and stuffed it in between my joists and on top of my heat duct. then took tyvek and stapled it to the joists. So nothing can get in. Just thinking about it now the heat duct will not create enough heat to catch that on fire will it. I used Tyvek because i thought i have heard people have used it before. It is the regular white Tyvek.
As far as I know tyvec should be fine, First the heat ducts should be above the insulation& tyvec. Second if your ducts are getting hot enough to start a fire you have problems far more major than melted tyvec. Greg
"If I can't fix it, I can screw it up so bad no one else can either."
Hi jbirsky23
I "googled" the following info:
"The flammability characteristics of Tyvek® are similar to those of most synthetic fibers. When exposed to a flame, Tyvek® shrinks away rapidly. It will melt at 275°F (135°C), and its auto-ignition temperature is 750°F (400°C)."
I'd say you are OK.

Aside from the roof leak, soft floors, rats, mice and bursted plumbing ........ how do you like it?
