So I was poking around under my house preparing for a flood when I came across my crossover duct
It's saggy on one side the side opposite the av blower unit.
I checked it out and the insulation is soaked through.
I can't figure out where the water came from.
I cut into the insulation and checked the actual plastic duct part. No water there.
I checked for leaks around the connection point to the house that might be dropping down next to the vent. Nothing.
I guess I'm going to have to take the duct completely off and dry it out in the sun or replace it.
Any thoughts??

Is it possible that you have a plugged drain in the A/C?
Once fiberglass insulation is soaked it looses in insulation properties and should be replaced.

"If I can't fix it, I can screw it up so bad no one else can either."
I considered the plugged drain but it's not that. Drain is flowing fine out its exit pipe.
And like I said it on the Opposite end of under the ac unit.
I'll replace it. I'm likely going to take some water under the house from this flood that's coming in.
I'll wait till that clears out next month before putting in the new crossover.
