I need to replace a very old Coleman Gas furnace, I have been thinking of replacing with a Electric furnace. Is it possible to replace Gas for Electric? Also I spoke with a Heat and Air person and they suggested a self contained unit outside, quoted me 3k. Seemed high too me since the Electric furnace is around 600-700
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Coleman Gas furnace or Electric Furnace
Yes a gas unit can be replaced with electric depending upon how large of a service you have. You will also spend some more $$$ because you have to wire it from the inside panel to the new electric unit. Check your electric service size first before buying a electric furnace
