Since we don't seem to have time to ever send out a newsletter, I instead post tips here.
Have you ever encountered the need to run a pipe or wire underneath a sidewalk, like the picture below shows?
Here's a good tip for boring a hole without the need to dig to China. First dig down on each side of the sidewalk. Attach a straight spray nozzle to a garden hose and start blasting. As it blasts, push the hose underneath. You may have to blast from each side. It may get a little wet and muddy, but it works like a charm!
Keep this tip in mind if your about to install a lawn sprinkler system.
