I have an Evcon, DGAT056 BDE w/air conditioner. I will be switching to propane from natural gas in a few weeks. The information on the inside of the furnace tells me: "For natural gas use orifice 29. For propane, use orafice 45". The little cloth bag attached to the valve contains a tag that says "Propane" and an orifice with .82 stamped on it. Is this the correct orifice?
Thanks,
Greg
Evcon Natural Gas to Propane Switch Question
Hi,
Yes, for LP you use the #45 / 0.082 . It is correct one.
Remember, you also have to convert the gas valve or replace if non-convertible.
You also have to change the gas pressure and have burner flame
inspected and adjusted if needed.
Thanks,
Robert
