Water Heater shut off.....
Moderators: Greg, Mark, mhrAJ333, JD
The park manager just came and told us the water will be off tomorrow...more then likely all day due to a leak in one of the lines in the park. I was thinking we should shut down the water heater, and wanted to make sure just flipping the power to that fuse would suffice. I don't need to do anything to the heater itself do I?

FYI, the reason you should shut the tank off is because if you open a faucet, the tank can partially drain, exposing a heating element, causing it to burn out.
It's just too easy to shut it off to avoid any problems. You could also shut your main valve also, but you may not know when the water is back on.
