It's that time of the year again, time for the cold. At least for some of us not lucky enough to still be in shorts and sandals!

Take a few minutes to check things out and make sure you're ready for winter. Most importantly make sure your heat tape is plugged in and the GFI isn't tripped. Sometimes they can trip over the year and be off and it will let you know on the first good freeze of the year. Also that the water line coming into your house is insulated good.

Also make sure your skirting is in good shape. This helps keep it a little warmer under there but also keeps stray animals out that can tear up your belly material looking for heat. Also if you can make sure your belly material is intake.

Another good thing to do is make sure your furnace is running good. Make sure the filter is good. Take a vacuum or duster and carefully dust the inside out.

This is a short list of important things to do so feel free to add to it if you have something more. Stay warm!

Also make sure you do not have any dripping faucets or you could end up with blocked/broken septic lines.
