I have an electrical box where the screw keeping the switch flush to the box has snapped off, so the switch is attached at the top but not the bottom. Can the electrical box be removed without having to cut the surrounding sheet rock ?

if just the screw snapped off, cant you pull out the switch and get a long nose pliers in there and romove the section of the snapped thread from the box?

Screw snapped off flush w/electrical box.

the screw snapped off flush on the outside of the box correct? if this is the case there will be a longer section, of the screw threads, inside the box... i use a long nose pliers to back this out or spin thru.

I watch the video " fixing a loose box " suggested by Greg. Easy fix, hope home electrical boxes are the same dimensions as MH.

The outside measurements should be the same or slightly larger (just open up the hole) check the depth first, there are deeper boxes available that may not fit.
