A tree branch fell on my roof and left a dented check mark type hole in the roof. Is it ok to pry the edges up with a screwdriver and use some roofing cement from a tube to fix this? Or do I have to use a metal patch? If I have to use a patch what is the best way to do that? Each line is an inch long. Thanks in advance for any help.

I think I would pop rivet a patch over it. Use some sealer between the two before you rivet them, and then more sealer over them after.
