I added primer to a few rooms inside my mobile home last week. You can tell that I didn't go to the very top, as I didn't want to get any primer on the popcorn ceiling. How important is it that I now get a paint brush to carefully paint the top part? Or should I save that time consuming part for when I add colored paint on top of the primer?

I only know of one way to find out. Try painting one small wall and see.

if its a white primer next to a white popcorn ceiling why would it matter?

looks to be 99.9% covered so why not give it 100%?

How much difference you see will depend upon the finish color.
