anticipator settings?

Hello, I have a old coleman presidential 2 furnace, could you tell me what the anticipator settings are for heat ,it runs short cycles,thanks,Model #77008,series 856

There are no magic settings because it takes the current draw of the gas valve and all the other circuits on the heat side of the system to set it absolutely correct and this varies with the install, length of thermostat wire, gas valve current ETC to set the anticipator. I always use a Amprobe. to set it up correctly.

Now you can slide the heat anticipator lever to longer or + to make the run time longer. Do it just a little bit at a time until you hit the correct spot

Look on the gas valve for a good starting point.

Halfway between .4 and .5 is design point.

It can need adjusting though as HVAC stated.
