I'm a complete newbie. The propane company's HVAC installer said my gas valve (robert shaw 7200 series) was toast and said he'd replace it for $150 or my inefficient furnace for $2000. I can't seem to find any info on my 1979ish? furnace to know if it's worth fixing. I've found a 1997ish, 75% efficient nordyne that looks very clean for $250. It seems like a slam dunk to go with the nordyne. Any pitfalls I'm missing? Thanks for your help.

Hi,

You need to have the heat exchanger and whole furnace inspected to be sure it is ok. Also, make sure it matches your current furnace and that it is a mobile home Nordyne unit.

Thanks,
Robert
