Last Nov. the blower on my Coleman 3400A812 quit.
The repairman installed a new (used) blower, and new sequencer.
At the time I told him the air was blowing too hard from an end vent, and the air was cool.
The blower was louder than my old one.
He said it was a two speed as opposed to my old, one speed.
Said he lowered the speed.
Also, one element was not working. He said new sequencer fixed that.
I was sick at the time and was just happy to have the furnace working, so didn't question anything.
Air is still cool, and blower is still too loud. It blows cool air around the room and over my bed.
One end of the house is warmer, and it satisfies the t-stat, so bedroom is always cooler.
With old blower it was the hot room.

Question is, the old blower was model 3400-590
This one is 3500-590
Does that make a difference?
Is it cooler because it is blowing harder?
I need to know before I call repairman back and make a fool of myself.
Thank you.

Hi Barb,

They should both have same motor unless someone has switched one out.

IF it is blowing alot harder, it could make it feel cooler.

Have him remove blower housing assembly and show you that all element coils are energizing.

Then make sure it is set at Low or Med. Low speed, whatever old one was at.

If all was ok before motor quit, simply changing that and the sequencer will not change the heating operation and warmth of home.

He needs to resolve this back to level of comfort before problem arose.

Also, be sure the motor inside that blower housing is a rated motor for use in a mobile home.

If comfort level is below what it was, you have every right to question him until a satisfactory and understandable answer is given, you are paying for that right.

Take care and best wishes,
Robert
