My oil furnace runs for about 20 minutes at a time, and shuts down for about 5 or so minutes , is this normal? The blower runs for about 4 minutes after the furnace shuts down, is this normal? thanks, Ray[/b]

Hi Ray,

Depends on how well the home keeps the temp inside. The blower should run until unit has cooled down in chamber to preset temp.


Best to get them serviced and cleaned every year, so if it hasn't been done, would be good time for it.
