Which is better, furnace or baseboard heat.
A friend has an add on (which is not connected to present furnace) and is wondering which is best.
Thanks

Hi,

Depends on what you mean by better. Alot depends on cost to operate each, age of each, etc..., but overall, furnace would be my choice for best heating ability .

I know people that love the baseboards though, so like I said, it all depends.

Thanks,
Robert

HI, I added a strip of hard wired electric baseboard in my bedroom. It was easy since my panel box is in the BR. I choose to use the electric baseboard when sleeping, since the furnace noise is bothersome to me when sleeping.

-Hope this helps.

In a stickbuilt I would go with hot water baseboard. In a Mobile you have to remember the plumbing factor, you need something to keep the pipes warm in subzero weather. Greg
