Coleman Mdl# DGAA056BDTA... I have a zone heating system using two of these furnaces. When the winds are gusting 30 + MPH, the furnaces error out with 3 flashes (Combustion Air Switch Failed to Close). The Booster Assy is running on both units. I have checked the lines and orifices to make sure they are clear. When the wind dies down, they seem to cycle normally, but once in a while I will continue to get the same failure (Combustion Air Switch Failed to Close).

Is this a common problem with these furnaces/pressure switches? I had one of the pressure switches replaced last year (P/N 024-27666-000), but both furnaces are acting up.

One last question.... do these pressure switches seem to be a high failure item ????

Thanks... Gnarly :)

Hi,

They are somewhat better than they were, but still a common

part replacement. Because they work off water column pressure

created by the booster motor running and pulling air through the

airpipe, the gusts could have an effect on it.

Only way to really know is to have it tested at that time.

Thanks for inquiring,
Robert
