The heater works fine, blows the air through the vents and worked well all winter.
We turned the AC on a few days ago and everything comes on, compressor, etc, but the air won't blow through the vents.
Can you give me any ideas ?
deltaelise

Do you think it could be the relay ?
deltaelise

Well it wasn't the relay.
I may have to wait until my tax rebate and get someone over here to look at it.
Ofcourse the man we bought it from is nowhere to be found and won't answer his phone or door.
I am too poor to be ripped off.

Hi,

So the blower won't run in a/c mode at all ?

Have you tried it in a/c and ON (fan continous) instead of a/c and auto ?

Did you replace the relay or jumper it to know it is ok ?

Do you have an electrical meter and comfortable testing with it ?

If so, I offer one on one email troubleshooting help for a $20.00 fee.

Thanks,
Robert

The blower won't run in ac mode.
I replaced the relay and have tried the fan on and still nothing.
I checked the heater to see if it was still blowing air through the vents and it sure is.
I have a meter and may do the email thing.
Thanks for your reply.

Computer crashed, just getting back on using laptop.

If you have two transformers, one for heat and one for a/c, a/c one may be blown.

Look in a/c control box and test transformer.

Could also be t-ststa or loose/bad wire connection in blower circuit wire or at molex connector plug for cooling speed.

Thanks,
Robert

I changed out the thermostat wiring.

The heater still works and blows fine but now, when I turn it to AC, nothing at all happens whereas before, it would all come on but just not blow through the vents.

I just have one transformer as far as I can tell so if the heater is working I guess the transformer is okay ?

IF there is only one xfmr, then it is ok if heat works. Did you check inside both the heat and a/c control boxes or do you just have one box ?

What is the VA rating on the xfmr, is it 20, 30 or 40VA ?

So now, outside condensing unit doesn't come on either ?

If so, may be time to call a Tech out.

Thanks,
Robert
