I am in the process of changing out an old bathroom fan in our mobile home....it does not appear as though the fan vents out through the roof....I am taking down the ceiling Monday....Is it possible to vent it out under the eaves or something.

Lowes/home depot sellls inexpensive vent fans, around $70 or so, you can install and run. Hardest part would be dropping the wire and putting on a separate breaker.

On most older mobile homes, there would not be enough room between the roof and the top plate of the wall to fit any type of vent. When you are taking the ceiling out, you will know for sure. Newer homes with engineered trusses (for added insulation) will probably have enough room if you can find the right vent for it. On homes without an overhang, this can cause a leak problem if not sealed up real well.

Installing a vent on the roof is pretty easy, especially with the ceiling removed. Sometimes it can be hard working with old shingles if they are brittle.

There are wall bathroom fans available, but these are usually not as effective and require more work to get the power to it unless you use an exposed raceway.
