My furnace is a Nordyne Model E 1 EH-017HA

I just started to turn on the heater, but the blower starts in at high speed, as if it was an AC, when it usually is at low speed. Also, the other thing i noticed is that when the thermostat reaches the selected temperature, both the heater and blower shut down together immediatly, when usually there was a delay between the time the heater and blower shutting down.

I have checked the wires, and the thermostat and all are functioning well. What could be the problem with the blower not starting at low speed?

Hi,

A short in the wiring somewhere, possibly internal of the motor.

May need an experienced hvac tech to locate problem.

Your sequencer controls blower and element timings and operation, but the speed leads are seperate wires unless they come in contact with one another.

Thanks,
Robert
