Hello,
I have a mobile home in wisconsin and my furnace which is a coleman 7970-856 is now 24 years old. The furance still runs absolutely perfect but I think Im really starting to push it's expected lifespan.
My HVAC guy who came to clean the furnace this fall told me about high effciency "Payne" brand furnaces which have a kit that make them approved for mobile home use. Said they are much more effcient then what I have now. Said the Payne is about 92% effcient and mine now is 80% although he said the actual number is probably less then that. He said that they are made by the same company that makes carrier I believe.
So, has anyone heard of these furnaces and/or have one installed in their mobile home?
