Hey everyone.

One of our members, CJ made a post awhile back about tsp, primer ect. Wanting to know which primer to use. Anyways he lives in Canada so he does not have the same stores we do. The last I had read on that particular post was someone gave him the name of a primer and the store to purchase it at. If you were the one with the info would you please repost it here. For whatever the reasons neither the OP nor I can locate his orginal thread.

Thanks,

Yanita

We did lose some posts from the last week or so. Not sure they can be retrieved. So if anyone didn't get their questions answered, please repost. Sorry about the inconvenience.

I think there are still a few kinks to work out. I think the posts that are missing were the new ones from the two day before the forum switch. Greg

Yanita,

Not sure this is the stuff you are looking for....

The best primer I have ever found is XIM and is carried by Sherwin Williams - at least here in the US. I've used it to paint over vinyl panels without not even a spot of separation or peeling. It will also bond to glass so tightly that a razor blade poses little challenge.

It is an "oil-based" product and requires ventilation for application. The fumes are just this side of wicked - but it will get the job done.

Hi MArk,

Appreciate your efforts, unfortunately this is not the info I remember reading in the orginal post. The member is in Canada and therefore things are named differently and they have different stores than us. But again, I appreciate the info.
