mobile home in fl. part of aluminum carport was turned into screen room.should the roof be covered to prevent leaks and noise when raining or leave as is.

You could go either way. It is more of a preference thing. If you are in a part of Florida where you can get chilly mornings, these aluminum awnings can condensate and sweat. There are roof-overs and replacement roofs made just for this purpose that will add insulation, which may help a little bit on real hot sunny days and stop condensation. These roof overs and replacement roofs are not cheap, but if it is not a huge room, it may be worth it.

What I really advise against is using batt insulation and paneling to finish off the inside of the roof (the ceiling). Even a suspended ceiling is not that great of an answer, because high humidity will make the panels bow and "pillow".
