I have a coleman Model 7680B Series-856, just replaced the gas valve, pilot is good, blue flame, when the gas kicks in, the flame is blue, after it hits the heat exchanger, its really yellow and alot, is that normal? The heater works properly, thermostat, fan kicks on and off at the correct intervals, just not sure if that flame is suppose to turn that yellow......thanks

Hi,

Flame should remain blue with slightly yellow tip at the most.

Thanks,
Robert

Thank you for the response, is it possible that the orifice is the wrong size? Can you tell me what size should be on there? Thanks

Hi,

LP Orifice 0.096 . Will have to call toll free to 1-877-263-7860 to get drill size # if needed and to order if needed.

Thanks,
Robert

The information on the furnace panel said 80,000 BTU, if I follow the chart given, the 0.096 is for 64377 BTU's, is this correct? Wouldnt .1065 be for 80000 BTU (LP)? Or am I not following the chart correctly? Thanks

Hi,

You're looking at input btu's, need to look at output btu's. The 0.096 is correct LP Orifice for your furnace.

Thanks,
Robert
