Above our kitchen stove we have a normal exhaust vent that goes up through cupboards above the stove...and is vented out through the roof.
The vent works fine...however the actual vent is very cold and actually radiates cold into the cupboards! The vent itself is just a standard rectangular metal vent.
I was thinking about trying to use some type of adhesive to "glue" either "bubble wrap", or maybe the radiant type insulation right onto the sides of the vent. Maybe just plain old styrofoam would be better?
Any suggestions?
Thanks...
Bill

Take a look at the water heater insulation wraps, should work pretty well.
