My a/c won't turn off/on via the thermostat but is running cool. I can take the temperature up and down and you can hear it click when it reaches the designated temperature but fails the kick off. I have been using the breaker to turn it on and off. I installed a new thermostat but it didn't solve the problem. Does anyone have any clue what could be wrong?

Outside a/c condenser and inside blower both keep running or just one of the two ?


How many wires connected at thermostat ?
