HOW DO I CHANGE A SHOWER MIXER SET UP

HAD A LEAK, NEW SHOWER HEAD DIDNT FIX. BOUGHT A NEW SHOWER MIXER SET UP WITH NEW HANDLES ETC, BUT DON'T KNOW HOW TO REPLACE. DO I NEED TO CUT A HOLE IN THE BEDROOM WALL TO ACCESS PIPES OR CAN IT BE DONE FROM THE FRONT OF THE SHOWER ? HELP!!

Hi & welcome. It is usually easier to work through a access panel. If you are very lucky you may be able to remove the whole wall panel to gain access, if not cut an access and cover it with either plywood or drywall when you are done. Greg

You may not need the whole assembly. Many faucets have a cartridge, or washers that you can change from the front. How old is the faucet? What brand is it? If it is a common brand like Delta, you can probably shut the water off, remove the cartridge or washers and take them to a local home center or hardware store to find a replacement.
