Well when the gas guy came out this summer to turn on the gas he lite the pilot and it went boom. It blew the cap off the roof. We put the cap back on and nothing more was done. Now it is cold and we lite the pilot and the furnace does nothing at all. Iv jumped the red and white and it still does nothing. The model is 7680B856. Any advice?

Call an hvac tech to first find out why it did that when pilot was lit.


Check transformer for primary-line at 120vac and secondary-load at 24vac.
