This is a question that someone asked me at work today, and I did not know the answer. I know it's electrical in nature, but hopefully you guys can answer it. Are the I beams on a doublewide grounded, and if so, how? This person is buying one and had questions about the setup. This is something I never thought of. Anyway, if anyone can answer, thanks.

The beams themselves are not grounded unless someone added a ground wire/cable to them. There should be no real need to ground them if stop to think about it. the joists that are bolted to them are wood so they are non conductive. If you have metal siding there may be some advantage to grounding for lightning protection. Cable TV & phone servers may want everything grounded. Greg
