Hello, this is my very first post and sure hope someone can help me!
Right off the bat, let me say, I am a 50 year old woman who knows nothing about furnaces.
Here is the situation:
Yeasterday, my furnace worked fine, lots of heat, no problems.
I left my house in the morning, and as usual I turned my therastat all the way to the lowest point.
Last night when I got home, I slid the thermostat controller thing to 75. Nothing happened.
So far, all I have done is go through my breaker box, and reset all the switches (flipped them off, then back on) Nothing.
I can "hear" like some electricity getting to the furnace if that makes sence?
My thermostat is a Coleman 025-35367-000, type 1C26-18, REV.D (thats what the sticker on the inside of the thermostat says).
When I flip one of the lower switches to "ventilation ON', the furnace comes on, but there is no heat, just cool air.
I have my thermostat set at: HEAT, and the ventilation is set to AUTO.
I have a Coleman model #EB15B, electric furnace.
Can someone point me in the right direction as to what might be going on with this furnace?
Please help me! Thanks
Coleman model EB15B + no heat
Hi,
Can you feel ~any~ heat being generated or see any glow from area of heat elements at furnace facing lower half ? If not, then do this:
Can you remove the cover(s) of thermostat to see wires connected ?
If so, turn power to furnace OFF, then remove thermostat cover(s).
Disconnect red and white wires and tie/tape them together tightly.
Turn power to furnace on and see if all is ok.
If so, thermostat is bad. If still the same, thermostat is not the problem, reconnect red to RH and white to W and replace covers.
IF there is a slight glow or heat sensed, then probably a bad sequencer.
Let me know.
Thanks,
Robert

This place is the BEST!!
Did just what you said to do Robert, and found it to be the thermostat!!
The heat came on when directaly wireing the red and white wires together.
You have no idea how happy you made me, plus I'm sure you saved me a ton of money over a service call
Thanks again for the super help!!
Off now to order a new thermostat.
