Hi guys!
Here's the deal. We are in a 28x70 doublewide on a slab with a 20x24 addition that is on just dirt. We have moldy smell issues under the home due to our location. We have plastic skirting with vents every 20 ft. In the winter we take the vents out and put 3" hard foamboard insulation up around the perimeter.
The problem lies that we STILL have the mildy/mildew smell under the home. We live in a valley and everything around here is wet. Can I install some kind of fan under the home? Maybe one pointing in on one end and out the other? Or would this be a waste of time? We even took all the skirting off last summer to let it air out and it still didn't do the trick. There isn't water under the home though, which confuses me. It's completely dry underneath.
Help?

is it possible the moldy/mildew condition is on the underbelly of your home??
I have thought about installing a box fan under the daughter's, her's gets wet under it. Not sure if a timer or humidestat would work better. As Norm said it may be in the belly and not under the home, but any air movement should help.
