HAD a problem with furnace running short heating cycles. Indicator light stayed red. Thanks to the information gleaned from other posts, I was able to remove the hot surface ignitor, lightly sand to clean, and reinstall. Checked the resistance and returned to proper operation. This ignitor serves as flame sensor. By sanding lightly this cleaned unseen deposits. All is well and warm, again. Thanks to all the info you fellows put forth.
